RPK Success Story – Meet Edie

RKP Success Story

A little over 1 year ago she decided to get off her couch and get serious about her fitness and nutrition program. So she joined our apprentice program. She recently got measured for our upcoming production of Alice: Flight to Fantasy. She was surprised to find that since her last fitting for our Mortars production, she has lost 4 inches around her waist, bust, and thighs. She has also lost 30 lbs.

Edie also shared with me that she did receive a 3rd place medal in our WCAAF. She does miss her sofa, but loves her results more.

It’s Never too Late to Start Something New…!

Edie has been with the Ruby Karen Project for 4 years. She decided her desk job as a Financial Analyst wasn’t giving her the activity she needed to maintain a mobile lifestyle well into her retirement years.

Because she has a background in fine arts, she knew she wanted to do something different. Aerial arts seemed like the right fit to fulfill her
creative and curious nature. It took 3 years of conditioning with the school before she was ready to compete on the silks in her age division at the first annual West Coast Aerial Arts Festival this past November. Edie was an inspiration to the young aspiring aerial artist at the festival as they all wanted her autograph in their program. She may not have won a medal in the competition on that day, but she won the respect of her peers young and old alike. Which is more valuable than any medal. Thanks Edie for having the courage to inspire us all.
