March 13, 2020 News Update

A few days ago, we shared with you our top priority and commitment to your health, safety and well-being at our school.  We have also expressed our practices to keep our school Covid19 free including our commitment in frequently sanitizing and cleaning all apparatus and surfaces inside our school as part of our normal daily business operations.  We also assure our clients that we have ample hand sanitizing towels and antibacterial soap for use while at our studio.

In order to continue to protect our clients during training, we have implemented measures that include distancing at tight spaces.  We also decreased our occupancy to five (5) persons at a time/class.  As such, we are increasing the number of classes, so you can continue your training with us. We are also using pulley system so we can effectively disinfect and change our apparatus, and we welcome those with their own apparatus to bring and use their own. We also are recommending parents to drop off their child, as we will enforce limited number of persons at our lobby.

We shall also have available classes online for ground conditioning to keep you up to speed and/or maintain your physical fitness level.  Please check our online schedule.

As we closely monitor our community agencies, please visit us regularly for updates including tuition and reservation changes during these times.

Consistent with guidance from the CDC, we’re encouraging our clients, instructors and volunteers to follow appropriate preventive actions to help prevent the spread of corona virus, including staying home if they are feeling ill or believe they may be at risk. We are together in this fight.

Thank you for your trust, loyalty and support to keep our place a happy, safe and healthy training space.

March 9, 2020 News Update:
Circus students, educators, families and other individuals can follow these basic guidelines:

  • Wash your hands often and vigorously with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially before and after circus practice in a circus facility; after going to the bathroom; before eating; and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing..
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
  • Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
  • Stay home when you are sick. (We know how sad it is to miss doing circus, but this is the best way to make sure your friends and community don’t get sick too!)
  • If you can, avoid ‘close personal contact’. Instead of shaking hands or giving hugs, do an air high-5. If you’re doing partner or group acrobatics or aerial skills with other people or spotting a physical skill, make sure to wash your hands thoroughly before and after, and to avoid contact with each other’s faces or touching your own face.

Additional Measurements Taken by the Ruby Karen Project/ Orange County Aerial Arts

  • Educate our clients on prevention measures regarding close contact practices
  • Speedy check-out/ in process:
    • Please reserve online so we can control the number of persons we expect in class.
    • Wash your hands before and after entering the training space (even when you leave for a few minutes)
    • Come a few minutes early to class to allow time to wash your hands
    • Do not linger in the hallway. Take your personal items shortly after class and pick up your shoes and wear these in open space to avoid congested spaced or close contact.
    • Always keep the hallway clear.
    • A few minutes will be allowed in between each class so everyone can practice reasonable distance.
  • We expect cooperation from all clients, students, volunteers and instructors to take the above precautionary measures. If we suspect or we see anyone who is coughing or sneezing, he/she will be asked to go home.
  • We shall have available, a digital thermometer available for use.
  • Practice common sense distance and give courtesy to others.
  • For Parents, please advise your kid to practice distancing and quick removal of personal belongings after class to avoid close distance at tight spaces.
  • Wipe handles after you used the toilet.
  • Anti-bacterial/ sanitation wipes are around for your use. We ask for your assistance to voluntarily wipe door knobs, chair handles and rails before/after using.
  • Parents who bring their kids other than students should always be watched. They are refrained from loitering anywhere within the school’s premise.
  • If you suspect anyone who may show the symptoms, please report this to any of our instructors so we may take the necessary steps.

THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR YOUR COOPERATION
